About me

I am a geoinformatics scientist at the Institute of Forest Ecology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Zvolen, where I study how Norway spruce resists bark beetle attack under a changing climate. My work sits where remote sensing, GIS and environmental science meet, and I manage projects end to end, from field campaigns and sensor data acquisition to analysis and publication.

Before Slovakia I worked on mangrove and seagrass health and blue carbon at Udayana University in Bali, taught geospatial science at the Central University of Jharkhand, and mapped coastal vulnerability and cyclone impacts along India's coastline. I am driven by research that informs practical decisions for forests, coasts and the communities that depend on them.
